Window and Door Installation in Snohomish and Skagit County

In this region, windows and doors take more abuse than most parts of the house. Long wet seasons, wind driven rain, and temperature swings expose weak seals quickly. Drafts, condensation between panes, trim that never holds paint, and doors that swell or stick are usually signs that the opening itself is the problem, not just the unit.

We see this often in homes around Monroe, Snohomish, and Lake Stevens where older windows were replaced without correcting flashing or where original doors were installed before modern weatherproofing standards. In those cases, replacing the window or door alone does not fix the underlying issue.

Many window and door issues are hidden until the trim comes off. Missing flashing, deteriorated sill plates, or past repairs that never addressed water intrusion are common, especially in older homes.

We have opened window frames in Arlington and Snohomish homes where repeated caulking and paint work were masking rot that continued to spread. Catching that during replacement prevents much larger structural repairs later.
